Determining the Dosage
FOX ADMENT AIR FM500 is designed to be dosed to achieve an air content of 3% to 8% in concrete. In the trial mix, use 0.09–0.2 kg of admixture per 100 kg of cement; make the necessary adjustments based on the results obtained.

Addition to the Mix
Add FOX ADMENT AIR FM500 to the concrete mix using a dispenser designed for air-entraining admixtures, or add the admixture manually using a suitable measuring device that measures the required quantity to within ±3% accuracy. Do not pre-mix with other admixtures; add each admixture separately.

Determining the Dispensing Point
For optimum and lasting performance, dispense the admixture onto damp, normal, or slightly fine aggregate. If this is not possible, carry out trials to determine the optimum dispensing method. When lightweight fine aggregate is used, determine the most suitable addition point (on top of the damp fine aggregate or with the first mixing water) through field tests.

Air Content Control
Measure the air content of the trial mix. Check the air content of the first mix and make further adjustments if necessary. Frequent checks during work are required as adjustments to the FOX ADMENT AIR FM500 dosage rate may be needed. Dosage adjustments must be determined based on the amount of entrained air at the point of placement.

Compatibility Check
When used in combination with special admixtures, laboratory trials must be carried out prior to any application to determine the relevant dosages and suitability for the fresh and hardened properties of the concrete. In case of doubt, consult the SARTECH Yapı Malzemeleri Technical Service Department.
FOX ADMENT AIR FM500 must not be pre-mixed with other admixtures. Other admixtures must be added to the concrete mix separately.
Air content control must be based on measurements taken in the concrete at the point of placement, and dosage adjustments must be made according to the amount of entrained air in the mix at the time of placement.
Store in the original unopened packaging, between +5°C and +30°C, away from direct sunlight, in a cool and dry environment, protected from frost.
Shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture. For short-term storage, dispatch on a first-in, first-out basis. For long-term storage, pallets must not be stacked on top of one another.
It is dangerous to approach storage and application areas with open flames; areas must be ventilated.
Wear work clothing, protective gloves, goggles, and a mask during application. Avoid contact with skin and eyes; in case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas. Store out of reach of children.
Technical property values are given for +23°C and 50% relative humidity conditions. Higher temperatures shorten the time; lower temperatures extend it.
There is no standard dosage rate. The exact admixture quantity required to achieve a consistent air content in concrete cannot be predicted in advance due to variations in material composition; a trial mix is mandatory.
