Product Description
FOX ADMENT FM777 is a naphthalene sulphonate-based, high-range water-reducing / superplasticising concrete admixture that imparts rheoplastic properties to concrete and increases its early and final strengths. It complies with TS EN 934-2 Table 3.1 and Table 3.2 standards. It is used across a wide range of concrete production applications including non-pumped and pumped ready-mix concrete, wet-spray concrete, precast and prefabricated concrete, and prestressed concrete. Chloride-free.
Advantages
- Reduces water content by at least 12% by weight compared to plain concrete.
- Compared to plain concrete, provides a lower water/cement ratio at the same workability, or higher workability and easier pumpability at the same water/cement ratio.
- Increases early and final strengths compared to plain concrete.
- Increases the compressive and flexural strength of concrete compared to plain concrete.
- Reduces formwork stripping time compared to plain concrete.
- Reduces segregation and bleeding, thereby increasing the abrasion resistance of concrete.
- Increases the resistance of concrete to freeze-thaw cycles.
- Improves other mechanical properties of concrete such as impermeability, durability, shrinkage and creep.
- Settles with less vibration even in heavily reinforced concrete structures.
- Chloride-free.
Usage Areas
- In non-pumped and pumped ready-mix concrete production
- In wet-spray concrete production
- In precast and prefabricated concrete production
- In prestressed concrete production with a low water/cement ratio
- Where early formwork removal is required
- In rheoplastic concretes that can be easily placed in heavily reinforced concrete elements
Application Steps
- 1
Material Preparation
The binder (such as cement, micro silica, fly ash, slag) and aggregate should be mixed until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
- 2
Addition of Water and Admixture
After adding 50–70% of the mixing water, FOX ADMENT FM777 should be added to the mix together with the remaining water.
- 3
Mixing
FOX ADMENT FM777 should be mixed for preferably 60 seconds or for the duration determined by laboratory tests to ensure homogeneous distribution throughout the mix.
- 4
Dosage
A dosage of 1.0–2.0 kg per 100 kg of binder (such as cement, micro silica, fly ash, slag) is recommended. The exact dosage must be determined by laboratory tests according to the concrete class and properties.
The product must be stored correctly between +5°C and +30°C. Products stored outside this temperature range may freeze; shelf life and performance may be adversely affected.
Frozen product must be thawed by leaving it at room temperature without applying direct heat, and mixed mechanically until homogeneous. Compressed air must not be used during mixing.
After adding 50–70% of the mixing water, FOX ADMENT FM777 should be added to the mix together with the remaining water. Mixing should preferably be carried out for 60 seconds or for the duration determined by laboratory tests.
The dosage must be determined in advance by laboratory tests according to the concrete class and properties.
The technical values above are given at +23°C and 50% relative humidity. Higher temperatures shorten the time; lower temperatures extend it.
Approaching storage and application areas with open flame is dangerous. Storage and application areas must be ventilated.
During application, appropriate work clothing, protective gloves, goggles and a mask must be worn in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations. Avoid contact with skin and eyes; in case of contact, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas. Store out of reach of children.
Store in the original unopened packaging in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and protected from frost. Shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
For short-term storage, dispatch on a first-in, first-out basis. For long-term storage, pallets must not be stacked on top of one another.
