FOX DECODUR MOSAIC PLASTER (BUNTSTEINPUTZ) is a ready-to-use mosaic plaster / decorative coating material with natural stone aggregates and an organic binder. Product Description
FOX DECODUR MOSAIC PLASTER (BUNTSTEINPUTZ) is a ready-to-use mosaic plaster / decorative coating material with natural stone aggregates and an acrylic-based organic binder. Its single-component formulation ensures ease of application and complies with EN 15824:2017. It is particularly preferred as a decorative finish coat on exterior facades and on thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS). While imparting a natural stone appearance to the surface, it provides high mechanical strength and long-lasting protection. Applied with a stainless steel trowel; use of FOX DECODUR PUTZGRUND FB310 as a primer is recommended.

Application Steps

Surface Preparation
Surfaces to be treated must be free from mould release agents, loose particles, dust and any substances that may adversely affect adhesion. Cracks and voids in the surface must be repaired using suitable INNO-CRETE series repair mortars. For applications on thermal insulation systems, the surface must be prepared by applying a system-compatible primer over the reinforcement mesh-reinforced and fully cured render coat.

Priming
FOX DECODUR PUTZGRUND FB310 is applied uniformly to the cleaned surface using a roller. The application rate should be adjusted according to the condition of the surface, and the consumption should be increased on surfaces with a high risk of adhesion. Pooling on the surface must not be allowed. The finish coat application must only commence after FOX DECODUR PUTZGRUND FB310 has dried completely.

Mixing
Before use, the product must be mixed homogeneously using an electric mixer at 400–600 rpm. If deemed necessary, clean water may be added at a maximum rate of 1% for consistency adjustment.

Application
Care must be taken to ensure the primed surface is completely dry; application must not be carried out on frozen, frost-risk or overheated surfaces. FOX DECODUR MOSAIC PLASTER must be applied uniformly to the surface with a stainless steel trowel and scraped to the aggregate grain thickness. After a short waiting period depending on ambient conditions, and before a surface film forms, the coating must be levelled in a single direction with light and even pressure. To prevent joints forming on adjacent surfaces, application must be continued without interruption following the 'wet on wet' principle. Work breaks should be planned at corners, joints or similar natural break points.

Tool Cleaning
Tools and equipment used after application must be cleaned with water. Once FOX DECODUR MOSAIC PLASTER has hardened, it can be removed from the surface mechanically using a solvent.

Application must not be carried out if the ambient, surface or material temperature is below +10°C or above +30°C; suitable temperature conditions must be awaited.

Application must not be carried out during rain or when there is a risk of rain. Surfaces that have not fully cured must not be exposed to water.

In outdoor applications, the product must be protected against sun, wind and frost.

Must not be used on horizontal surfaces exposed to standing water, continuous moisture or hydrostatic pressure. Areas below ground level must be protected with a suitable waterproofing system.

For the material to complete its cure, the ambient and surface temperature must not fall below the permitted minimum temperature.

Masking tapes must be carefully removed before the product begins to harden.

Application must not be carried out on frozen, frost-risk or overheated surfaces.

Excessive or prolonged trowelling may cause trowel marks and colour tone variations, particularly in light colours.

To minimise colour tone variations that may arise from the nature of natural aggregates, products from the same production batch must be used on connected surfaces.
Information
Particularly in very hot weather, rapid water loss may cause an increase in consistency. To prevent this, water may be added at a rate not exceeding 1% of the total product quantity.
Important
The product must be stored in its original unopened packaging in a dry and cool environment (between +10°C and +30°C), protected from sunlight and frost. Shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture. Opened packaging must be consumed within 1 week.
Important
Work clothing, protective gloves, goggles and a mask must be worn during application. Contact with skin and eyes must be avoided; in case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap. In case of ingestion, seek medical attention immediately.
