Product Description

FOX TRIPLETAPE 120 is a 3-layer waterproofing tape with special polypropylene (PP) fleece on both faces and a highly flexible thermoplastic elastomer core. It provides high transverse elongation (300% elongation at break) while maintaining a rigid (non-stretching) structure in the longitudinal direction. With a thickness of 0.66 mm and a longitudinal tensile strength of 120 N/15 mm, it offers a durable construction. It can be used in a temperature range of -30°C to +90°C and is resistant to freeze-thaw cycles, UV radiation (≥500 hours) and various chemicals. It is designed for application at horizontal and vertical joints, chamfer sealing, and around shower channels and drain units in wet areas such as bathrooms, balconies, terraces, roofs, pools and industrial kitchens. Special form options are available for internal corners, external corners and pipe penetrations.

Usage Areas

  • In waterproofing applications for wet areas (bathrooms, balconies, terraces, roofs, pools, industrial kitchens, etc.)
  • In horizontal and vertical joint and chamfer sealing
  • In sealing around shower channels and drain units
  • In ceramic tile and natural stone applications

Application Steps

  1. 1

Surface Preparation and Application of Waterproofing Material

The appropriate FOX waterproofing material is prepared as specified in the technical data sheet and applied to the joints, cove areas and connection points where FOX TRIPLETAPE 120 will be applied, using a waterproofing brush.

  2. 2

    Placing the Tape

While the waterproofing material is still wet, FOX TRIPLETAPE 120 is embedded into the waterproofing material so that half of the tape is on the wall and half is on the floor.

  3. 3

Application of the Top Waterproofing Layer

The waterproofing application is applied over the FOX TRIPLETAPE 120 chamfer tape using a waterproofing brush, covering the tape completely so that it is fully encapsulated within the material.

Critical

FOX TRIPLETAPE 120 must be embedded within wet waterproofing materials.

Critical

Sharp, piercing and hard tools must not be used.

Critical

After the tape has been applied, waterproofing materials must be brought over FOX TRIPLETAPE 120.

Important

Store in the original unopened packaging in a cool, dry place, protected from frost.

Information

The optimum shelf life is 24 months.
