Product Description

FOX TRIPLETAPE 90° is a 3-layer internal corner waterproofing tape with high transverse flexibility, longitudinal rigidity, and special polypropylene (PP) fleece coating on both sides. The carrier layers are made of polypropylene (PP) fleece and the coating consists of a highly flexible thermoplastic elastomer. The tape has a wing length of 120 mm ± 4 mm, a height of 90 mm ± 5 mm, and a support depth of 60 mm ± 5 mm, with a total thickness of 0.60 mm and a weight of 14 g per piece. The product provides a water impermeability performance of ≥1.5 bar according to DIN EN 1928 and can operate at service temperatures between -30°C and +90°C. It is safely used in wet areas such as bathrooms, balconies, terraces, roofs, pools and industrial kitchens, in ceramic and natural stone applications, and at wall and floor corner joints in interior and exterior spaces.

Advantages

  • Easy and fast to apply.
  • Highly resistant to alkali due to fleece coating on both sides.
  • Resistant to freeze-thaw cycles.
  • Resistant to chemicals.
  • Resistant to hard water and chlorinated water.
  • Age-resistant and long-lasting.
  • Suitable for applications exposed to high loads or under constant positive water pressure.

Usage Areas

  • For interior and exterior spaces, walls and floors
  • In wet area (bathroom, balcony, terrace, roof, pool, industrial kitchens, etc.) waterproofing applications
  • In ceramic and natural stone applications

Application Steps

  1. 1

    Surface Preparation

The surface to be applied must be sound, dry, clean, free from oil, grease and other adhesion-inhibiting residues, and largely flat. The specific instructions regarding substrate pre-treatment for FOX WATERPROF® FS105, FOX ULTRATEX PLUS and FOX MULTISEAL® STANDART products must be followed.

  2. 2

Application of the Substrate Waterproofing Layer

A layer approximately 10 cm wide is applied to the corner joints using the waterproofing material to be used in the system (FOX WATERPROF® FS105, FOX MULTISEAL® STANDART, etc.). This layer forms the base coat for bonding FOX TRIPLETAPE products according to the 'wet-on-wet' principle.

  3. 3

    Placing FOX TRIPLETAPE 90°

The FOX TRIPLETAPE 90° internal corner waterproofing tape is carefully placed onto the fresh waterproofing material. It is pressed down so that no air pockets remain beneath the tape, and care is taken to ensure that no excess material remains beneath the tape.

  4. 4

    Overlapping with FOX TRIPLETAPE 120

FOX TRIPLETAPE 120 must be bonded to both ends of the corner element with a minimum overlap of 5 cm. This ensures continuity of the waterproofing.

  5. 5

Application of the Top Waterproofing Layer

A second coat of the same waterproofing material is applied over the placed corner element and connected tapes. FOX TRIPLETAPE 90° must be fully embedded within the waterproofing layer.

Critical
