Product Description

FOX TRIPLETAPE F is a 3-layer floor/drain collar waterproofing tape with high transverse flexibility but longitudinally rigid (non-stretching) construction. The product, coated on both sides with a special polypropylene (PP) fleece, is fully embedded within the waterproofing layer to ensure continuous waterproofing at floor drain points. The collar measures 425 x 425 mm with a total thickness of 0.60 mm and offers a water impermeability performance of ≥1.5 bar. Tested in accordance with DIN EN 1928. Suitable for use in a service temperature range of -5°C / +60°C; resistant to freeze-thaw cycles, chemicals and ageing. Designed for use in conjunction with FOX Bau waterproofing systems such as FOX WATERPROOF FS105, FOX MULTISEAL® STANDART and FOX ULTRATEX PLUS.

Advantages

  • Easy and fast to apply.
  • Offers very high alkali resistance due to fleece coating on both sides.
  • Resistant to freeze-thaw cycles.
  • Resistant to chemicals.
  • Resistant to hard water and chlorinated water.
  • Resistant to ageing; long service life.
  • Can be used in applications subject to high loads or under constant positive water pressure.

Usage Areas

  • For interior and exterior areas, floors
  • In wet area (bathroom, balcony, terrace, roof, pool, industrial kitchens, etc.) waterproofing applications
  • In ceramic tile and natural stone applications

Application Steps

  1. 1

    Surface Preparation

The surface to be treated must be sound, dry, clean, free from oil, grease and other adhesion-inhibiting residues, and largely flat. The specific instructions for substrate pre-treatment applicable to FOX WATERPROOF® FS105, FOX ULTRATEX PLUS and FOX MULTISEAL® STANDART must be followed.

  2. 2

    Cutting to Size

Before application, ensure that the collars will fit correctly around the pipework. If necessary, cut to the appropriate size using scissors or a utility knife.

  3. 3

Application of the Base Waterproofing Layer

The waterproofing material to be used in the system (FOX WATERPROOF® FS105, FOX MULTISEAL® STANDART, etc.) is applied to the substrate. This layer forms the base coat for bonding FOX TRIPLETAPE F according to the 'wet-on-wet' principle.

  4. 4

    Positioning the Collar

FOX TRIPLETAPE F floor/drain collar is carefully placed onto the fresh waterproofing material. FOX TRIPLETAPE 120 must be bonded with a minimum overlap of 5 cm to ensure continuity of waterproofing. It must be pressed down so that no air pockets remain beneath the tape.

  5. 5

Application of the Top Waterproofing Layer

A second coat of the same waterproofing material is applied over the positioned corner element and connected tapes. FOX TRIPLETAPE F must be fully embedded within the waterproofing layer.

Critical

The surface to be treated must be sound, dry, clean and free from oil, grease and other adhesion-inhibiting residues.

Critical

The collar must be fully embedded within the waterproofing layer. It must be pressed down so that no air pockets remain beneath the tape.

Critical

FOX TRIPLETAPE 120 must be bonded with a minimum overlap of 5 cm; otherwise, continuity of waterproofing cannot be ensured.

Important

Sharp-edged, piercing or hard tools must not be used.

Important

Care must be taken to ensure that no excess material remains beneath the tape.

Important

Store in the original unopened packaging in a cool, dry place, protected from frost. Optimum shelf life is 24 months.

Critical

It is dangerous to approach storage and application areas with open flames; these areas must be ventilated.

Important

Wear work clothing, protective gloves, goggles and a mask during application. In case of contact with skin or eyes, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap; if swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.

Information

Store out of reach of children. Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas.
