Product Description

FOX MULTIPLUS® DUALGUM 1K SPRAY is a colloidal dispersion polymer-modified, bitumen-rubber based, single-component, water-based liquid membrane. It offers high application efficiency and can be applied with a spray machine. The product has extremely high elasticity (1500%), adheres excellently to concrete and metal surfaces, and delivers superior results in vertical applications.

It meets the CB2 (≥4 mm static crack bridging), W2B (0.075 N/mm² water impermeability under pressure), C2B (0.30 MN/m² compressive strength), and R2 (≤8 hours rain resistance) classifications under the TS EN 15814+A2 standard. Its solvent-free, water-based formulation makes it environmentally friendly. It is impermeable to radon and methane gases. Its chemical structure repels plant roots, providing protection.

Key Benefits

  • Fast and easy application with a spray machine saves labour.
  • Provides reliable waterproofing documented by TS EN 15814+A2 CB2-W2B-C2B-R2 certification.
  • With 1500% elongation at break and crack-bridging performance maintained at -20°C, it can be used safely across a wide temperature range.
  • Solvent-free; its water-based formulation provides an environmentally friendly, low-VOC application environment.

Usage Areas

  • On the positive side in vertical applications
  • On reinforced concrete surfaces below ground that are in continuous contact with water
  • On surfaces such as foundations and retaining walls
  • On terraces and garden terraces
  • On retaining walls
  • In basements and similar underground structures
  • For protection of concrete against groundwater and microorganisms
  • For bonding thermal insulation panels

Application Steps

  1. 1

    Surface Preparation

The surface to be treated must be sound; free from oil, grease, rust, paraffin, paint, and bitumen residues, with all loose particles removed. Iron and wooden plugs on the surface must be removed; active water leaks must be plugged with FOX PLUG FC 340. Voids, uneven surfaces, and corner edges (chamfering of at least 4 cm) must be repaired with FOX MORTAR T FC 188 T (R4) repair mortar. The surface must be primed before application.

  2. 2

    Mixing

FOX MULTIPLUS® DUALGUM 1K SPRAY is mixed for 3 minutes using a low-speed electric mixer (400–600 rpm) with the mixing paddle specified in the technical data. Water must absolutely not be added to the product.

  3. 3

    Primer Application

For the primer coat, FOX MULTIPLUS® DUALGUM 1K SPRAY is applied to the surface at approximately 250–300 g/m². A minimum of 1 hour must be allowed for the primer to dry; this period may increase depending on climatic conditions.

  4. 4

    Waterproofing Application

After the primer has dried, FOX MULTIPLUS® DUALGUM 1K SPRAY is applied to the surface in two coats using a spray machine at the specified consumption rates. A minimum of 8 hours must be allowed between coats depending on weather conditions. The waterproofing coating must be left to dry for a minimum of 2 days; backfilling should only be carried out after it has fully dried. Before backfilling, it must be covered with a drainage board or thermal insulation panels.

  5. 5

    Tool and Equipment Cleaning

After application, tools and equipment used must be cleaned with paraffin oil, diesel, or solvent.

Critical

Application should not be carried out if the ambient and surface temperature is below +5°C or above +30°C; appropriate temperatures must be awaited.

Critical

Application should not be carried out during rain or when there is a possibility of rain. Surfaces that have not fully cured must not be exposed to water.

Critical

WATER MUST ABSOLUTELY NOT BE ADDED to the product; adding water will cause the product to break down.

Critical

A minimum of 8 hours must be allowed between coats, depending on weather conditions.

Critical

The waterproofing coating must be left to dry for a minimum of 2 days depending on climatic conditions; backfilling should only be carried out after it is confirmed to be fully dry.

Important

Before backfilling, the coating must be covered with a drainage board or thermal insulation panels; it must be protected from impacts and tearing that may occur during backfilling.

Important

If blisters form during application under intense sunlight, they must be repaired afterwards. To prevent blister formation, the surface should be shaded or application is recommended in the morning or evening hours.

Important

Surfaces to be treated must be sound and stable; free from dirt, dust, loose debris, grease, delamination, and blockages.

Important

In outdoor applications, the product must be protected from sunlight, wind, and frost.

Important

The product must be stored between +5°C and +30°C, away from direct sunlight. Shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture. Must be protected from frost. Once opened, the material should be used as quickly as possible.

Critical

During application, work clothing, protective gloves, goggles, and a mask must be worn. Contact with skin and eyes must be avoided; in case of contact, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap. In case of ingestion, consult a doctor immediately.

Critical

It is dangerous to approach storage and application areas with open flames; areas must be ventilated.

Important

Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas. Must be stored out of reach of children.

Information

After application, tools and equipment used must be cleaned with paraffin oil, diesel, or solvent.
