FOX MULTISEAL®-UV FS475 is a cement and acrylic-based, two-component, UV-resistant flexible waterproofing material that forms an effective barrier against water-borne salts and atmospheric gases. It meets the requirements of TS EN 1504-2:2008 Principles 2.2 and 8.2. Component A consists of mineral fillers, special cement and polymer; Component B consists of copolymer acrylic dispersion. Adhesion strength according to EN 1542 is ≥0.8 N/mm². The mixture is prepared at a ratio of 25 kg A + 8 kg B and offers a working time of 2 hours. At +23°C, mechanical strength is achieved in 3 days, watertightness in 7 days, and full strength in 28 days. Applied by brush or spray machine.

Application Steps

Surface Preparation
The surface to be treated must be sound and free from all oils, grease, rust, paraffin, paint and bitumen residues that could impair adhesion, with all loose particles removed. Iron and wooden plugs on the surface must be removed, and any active water leaks must be plugged with FOX PLUG FC340. Existing voids, uneven surfaces and corners/edges (chamfer of at least 4 cm) must be repaired with FOX MORTAR FC188 T repair mortar. If the surface is dry before application, it must be dampened. In hot or windy conditions, up to 10% of Component B by volume may be added to the mixed material for the first coat only.

Mixing
Half of FOX MULTISEAL®-UV FS475 Component B is poured into a clean mixing container. Component A is added slowly while mixing with an electric mixer at 400–600 rpm with a suitable attachment for approximately 3–5 minutes. The paste-consistency mixture is left to rest for 2 minutes, then the remaining Component B is added and mixed for a further 1–2 minutes until ready for application. Mixing ratio: 25 kg A + 8 kg B.

Application
The prepared FOX MULTISEAL®-UV FS475 mixture is applied in a minimum of two coats using a waterproofing brush or spray machine. The direction of brush application must be perpendicular between coats. The waiting time between coats varies according to site conditions. Reinforced concrete surfaces must be dampened before application. The wet film thickness per single coat must not exceed 1.30 mm.

Tool Cleaning
Tools and equipment used after application must be cleaned with water.

Critical

If the ambient and surface temperature is below +5°C or above +30°C, application must not be carried out; appropriate temperatures must be awaited. Application must also not be carried out in extremely hot, rainy or windy weather.

For exterior surface applications, the surface must be protected from sunlight, wind, rain or frost for the first 24 hours.

The wet film thickness per single coat must not exceed 1.30 mm.

For the material to complete its curing, the ambient and substrate temperature must not fall below the minimum permitted temperature.

Important

FOX MULTISEAL®-UV FS475 applied at +23°C achieves mechanical strength after 3 days, becomes watertight after 7 days, and reaches its final strength after 28 days.

Important

The working and reaction times of cement and acrylic-based systems are affected by ambient and substrate temperature and relative humidity in the air. At low temperatures the reaction slows down; at high temperatures the reaction accelerates.

Important

Areas that need to be walked on must be covered with a screed containing FOX BINDER FM125 additive.

Important

For tiling with ceramic, marble or similar products, the use of INNO-FIX series ceramic adhesives is recommended.

Important

FOX MULTISEAL®-UV FS475 Component B freezes at temperatures below 0°C. Opened packages must be stored under appropriate storage conditions with their lids tightly closed.

Important

Must be stored in its original unopened packaging, in a cool and dry environment, protected from frost. For short-term storage, a maximum of 3 pallets may be stacked on top of each other; for long-term storage, pallets must not be stacked.

Critical

Approaching storage and application areas with open flame is dangerous. Work clothing, protective gloves, goggles and a mask must be worn during application. Contact with skin and eyes must be avoided; in case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap; if swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.

Information

The technical values above are given for +23°C and 50% relative humidity conditions. Higher temperatures shorten the time; lower temperatures extend the time.

RETENTION AND DESTRUCTION PERIODS FOR PERSONAL DATA

Your personal data will be stored for the retention periods specified in the relevant legislation or for as long as the processing purposes mentioned above require. At the end of this period, the data will be deleted, destroyed or anonymised in full compliance with the KVKK. In this context, a Personal Data Retention and Destruction Policy and the related procedures have been prepared and are applied.

HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

In order to protect your personal data and to prevent unlawful access to it, our Company takes the necessary administrative and technical measures in line with the Personal Data Security Guide published by the Personal Data Protection Authority, draws up internal procedures, prepares disclosure and explicit consent texts and, pursuant to Article 12/3 of the KVKK, carries out, or has carried out through external services, the audits necessary to ensure the implementation of the provisions of the KVKK.
