Product Description
FOX PURMAX® AQUA FS770 is a polyurethane-based, two-component, solvent-free and thixotropic waterproofing coating. It is safely used in water tanks made of concrete, steel and other materials, prefabricated concrete tanks, drinking water reservoirs, aquariums and artificial ponds. Registered for drinking water reservoirs, the product can be applied in enclosed spaces as it contains no solvents, and maintains its performance across a wide temperature range from -40°C to +90°C. The mixing ratio is A:B = 1:5 and it is applied at a consumption rate of 700 gr/m² per coat. Full curing is completed in 7 days.

Surface Preparation
Substances that would impair adhesion, such as dirt, oil, grease, fuel, paraffin residues and paint, must be removed from the surface to be coated using compressed air or sandblasting. Release agents, cement residues, shavings, loose particles and cured membranes must be completely removed. Surface defects and cracks must be repaired with suitable INNO CRETE series repair mortars. For tanks other than reinforced concrete, please contact the technical department.

Priming
Surfaces to receive FOX PURMAX® AQUA FS770 must be primed in advance with FOX EPOTHANE® series primer. Care must be taken to ensure the substrate temperature is a minimum of +8°C. FOX PURMAX® AQUA FS770 must be applied over the primer within the specified application window.

Mixing
Component A must be thoroughly mixed with an electric mixer (300–400 rpm) until a homogeneous colour is achieved and no product remains on the bottom and sides of the container. After Component B has been fully added to Component A, mixing must continue for 3–4 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Over-mixing should be avoided to minimise air entrainment.

Coating Application
The prepared mixture can be applied on horizontal surfaces (tank floors, etc.) by pouring onto the surface and spreading with a suitable roller in one or two coats. For single-coat application on horizontal surfaces, the two-coat consumption rate should be used as the basis. On vertical surfaces, at least two coats must be applied with a suitable roller. A third coat may be applied depending on the location and detail requirements.

Tool Cleaning
Tools and equipment used after application must be cleaned with solvent or polyurethane thinner. Once FOX PURMAX® AQUA FS770 has cured, it can only be removed from surfaces by mechanical means.
Concrete surfaces to be coated with epoxy/polyurethane must be at least 3 weeks old prior to application.
Ambient and surface temperature must be at least +10°C and no more than +30°C.
After application is complete, the coating must be protected from direct water contact for at least 24 hours. If water contact occurs, softening and blistering will develop on the coating; the coating must be completely removed and reapplied.
Mixing must be carried out with an electric mixer at 300–400 rpm and an epoxy/polyurethane resin mixing tip. If the specified mixing tip is not used, air will be entrained into the product and air bubbles will form on the coating after application.
Pot life is 30 minutes; the mixed product must be used within this time.
Materials to be used should be brought to the application site 1–2 days in advance and allowed to acclimatise to ambient conditions.
In cold weather, ambient and substrate temperature should be raised; packaging should be kept at +20°C – +25°C until ready for use.
Rain, dust, wind, animals and insects must be prevented from entering the building while the coating is still fresh.
A vapour barrier layer must be installed on floors resting on soil; the building's roof, walls, doors and windows must be completed.
It is dangerous to approach storage and application areas with open flames; areas must be ventilated.
Work clothing, protective gloves, goggles and a mask must be worn during application. Contact with skin and eyes must be avoided; in case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap; if swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
The product must be stored between +5°C and +30°C, away from direct sunlight, in a dry environment. Shelf life is 6 months from the date of manufacture.
In areas exposed to sunlight, the colour of the product may fade; however, this affects appearance only and does not affect product performance.
Consumption figures are given for ideal conditions assuming an ambient and surface temperature of 20°C. It should be noted that consumption will increase on uneven surfaces and in cold weather conditions.
