Product Description
MULTIPLUS® DUALGUM REACTIVE is a heavy-duty, two-component, colloidal dispersion polymer-modified, bitumen-rubber based, water-borne liquid membrane. It is an ultra-high application efficiency, very fast-curing waterproofing material. It is a bitumen emulsion with extremely high elasticity (2000%) that bonds excellently to concrete and metal surfaces. Reinforced with non-woven geotextile fleece, it forms an excellent membrane.
The product meets the CB2 (≥4mm static crack bridging), W2B (≤0.15 N/mm² water impermeability under pressure), C2B (0.30 MN/m² compressive strength) and R3 (≤1 hour rain resistance) classifications according to TS EN 15814+A2. Touch cure occurs immediately, with full curing completed within approximately 1 hour. Component A consists of colloidal dispersion polymer-modified bitumen-rubber, while Component B consists of a chemical salt solution. It is solvent-free, water-based and environmentally friendly.
Key Benefits
- Delivers reliable waterproofing performance documented by the TS EN 15814+A2 CB2-W2B-C2B-R3 certification.

- On terraces and garden terraces
- On roofs and industrial roofs
Application Steps
- 1
Surface Preparation
The surface to be treated must be sound and free from all oils, grease, rust, paraffin, paint and bitumen residues that could impair adhesion, and all loose particles must be removed. Iron and wooden plugs on the surface must be removed, and any active water leaks must be sealed with FOX PLUG FC 340. Filling of existing voids, repair of uneven surfaces and chamfering of corners and edges (minimum 4 cm) must be carried out using FOX MORTAR FC 188 T (R4) repair mortar.
- 2
Component B Preparation
The salt solution supplied ready-to-use in the 20 kg container is shaken to prepare it for use.
- 3
Component A Preparation
The bitumen emulsion in its original packaging is homogenised by circulating through the spray machine pump for at least 5 minutes.
- 4
Priming
For primer application, the Component B (accelerator solution) valve on the spray machine is closed and the product is applied uniformly to the surface at a consumption rate of approximately 250–300 g/m². At least one hour must be allowed for the primer to dry.
- 5
Waterproofing Application
Place the MULTIPLUS® DUALGUM REACTIVE drum and the Component B container next to the spray machine. Insert the suction hoses of both products into the respective containers. Start the machine and begin the circulation process. MULTIPLUS® DUALGUM REACTIVE must be mixed by circulating through the spray machine pump for at least 5 minutes. Component B and MULTIPLUS® DUALGUM REACTIVE are sprayed simultaneously at a ratio of 20:1 with the pressure adjusted according to the desired consumption rate; ensure that all sprayed materials fully overlap each other. After applying the product to the surface, confirm that water is dripping from the fresh layer in droplets and is clear. Cloudy or brown water indicates that the reaction is incomplete; this can be corrected by adjusting the Component B ratio. The spraying operation must be carried out by moving at a constant speed horizontally or vertically until the required thickness is achieved.
- 6
Curing and Covering
The waterproofing coating must be left to cure for at least 1 day depending on climatic conditions. 40–45 minutes after application is completed, the material must be protected with geotextile fleece or similar coverings. Backfilling must only be carried out once the coating is confirmed to be fully cured; prior to backfilling, it must be covered with drainage boards or thermal insulation panels.
- 7
Tool and Equipment Cleaning
After application, tools and equipment used must be cleaned with kerosene, diesel or solvent.
If the ambient temperature during application is below +5°C or above +30°C, application must be postponed until suitable temperatures are reached.
MULTIPLUS® DUALGUM REACTIVE can be applied to damp surfaces, not wet surfaces. If rain is forecast during application, work must not be started.
The waterproofing coating applied must be left to cure for at least 1 day depending on climatic conditions, and backfilling must only be carried out once it is confirmed to be fully cured.
Before backfilling, the coating must be covered with drainage boards or thermal insulation panels, and must be protected from impacts and tears that may occur during backfilling.
MULTIPLUS® DUALGUM REACTIVE and Component B (accelerator solution) are sprayed simultaneously at a ratio of 20:1 (20 MULTIPLUS® DUALGUM REACTIVE : 1 Component B).
Check whether the seeping water is clear. Cloudy or brown water is an indication that the reaction is incomplete and the product has deteriorated; this can be corrected by adjusting the Component B ratio.
Pedestrian traffic is permitted 3 hours after application is completed.
40–45 minutes after the Dualgum Reactive application is completed, the surface must be protected with geotextile fleece or similar coverings.
To prevent the formation of bubbles/blisters on the surface, it is recommended to shade the surface and to apply during morning or evening hours when solar radiation is less intense.
If blisters form when applying under intense sunlight, they must be repaired afterwards.
Can be stored in unopened original packaging in dry environments between +5°C and +30°C for a minimum of 12 months. Opened material must be used as soon as possible.
Must be stored in unopened original packaging in a cool, dry environment, protected from frost. For short-term storage, a maximum of 2 pallets may be stacked and shipment must follow a first-in, first-out system.
During application, appropriate work clothing, protective gloves, goggles and a mask must be worn in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations. Contact with skin and eyes must be avoided; in case of contact, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap; if swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas. Must be stored out of reach of children.
After application, tools and equipment used must be cleaned with kerosene, diesel or solvent.
