FOX THERM-ALL® MINPLAST FT377 is a cement-based, polymer-reinforced general-purpose decorative mineral render mortar applied over rendered surfaces to enhance mechanical resistance. It meets TS EN 998-1/GP, CSIII, Wc1, A1 requirements and is available in two pattern options: grain texture (KA) and scratch pattern (MR).

Product Description

FOX THERM-ALL® MINPLAST FT377 is a cement-based, polymer-reinforced decorative mineral render mortar composed of mineral fillers, synthetic additives and special polymers. It is used indoors and outdoors, on building facades as a decorative coating over thermal insulation render, and on mineral-based surfaces such as concrete and plaster. The product meets TS EN 998-1/GP, CSIII, Wc1, A1 standards and is available in KA grain texture (1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, 3.0 mm, 4.0 mm) and MR scratch pattern (1.5 mm fine and 2.0–3.0 mm coarse) options. In addition to manual application, machine (spray) application is also possible. After application, tools and equipment can be cleaned with water; hardened material can only be removed mechanically.

Application Steps

  1. 1

    Surface Preparation

    The surfaces to be treated must be sound and free from all dust and dirt. Care must be taken to ensure the surface is level. Dusty, crumbling mineral-based surfaces, surfaces exposed to wind and heat, and cement-based surfaces must be consolidated prior to application using FOX THERM-ALL® SUNPRIM FT310 decorative render primer. In a thermal insulation system, the boards must have been bonded to the wall, mechanically anchored with dowels, and rendered with FOX THERM-ALL® PLAST FT385 / FOX THERM-ALL® DUO FT388.

    Mixing

    The amount of water indicated on the packaging (approximately 5.50±0.25 L for a 25 kg bag; approximately 220±10 ml per 1 kg) is poured into a clean mixing container. FOX THERM-ALL® MINPLAST FT377 is slowly added to the water while mixing with an electric mixer at 400–600 rpm for approximately 2–3 minutes until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. Care must be taken to ensure no lumps remain. The material is left to mature for 3–5 minutes and then mixed again for 1 minute before use.

    Application – KA Grain Texture 1.5 mm and 2.0 mm

    FOX THERM-ALL® MINPLAST FT377 KA grain texture 1.5 mm and 2 mm mix is applied to the set render using a steel trowel. Before the surface dries, the desired pattern is created with a plastic float.

    Application – KA Grain Texture 3.0 mm

    FOX THERM-ALL® MINPLAST FT377 KA grain texture 3 mm mix is applied to the set render using a steel trowel. In addition to manual application, machine (spray) application is also possible.

    Application – KA Grain Texture 4.0 mm

    FOX THERM-ALL® MINPLAST FT377 KA grain texture 4 mm mix is applied to the set render using a spray machine. Before the surface dries, the desired pattern can be created with a plastic float.

    Application – MR Scratch Pattern

    FOX THERM-ALL® MINPLAST FT377 MR scratch pattern 1.5 mm fine and 2.0–3.0 mm coarse mix is applied to the set render using a steel trowel. Before the surface dries, the desired pattern — horizontal lines, vertical lines or oval movements — is created with a plastic float.

    Tool Cleaning

    After application, all tools and equipment used must be cleaned with water. Once FOX THERM-ALL® MINPLAST FT377 has hardened, it can only be removed from the surface mechanically.

If the ambient and surface temperature during application is below +5°C or above +30°C, application must be postponed until suitable temperatures are reached.

For outdoor applications, the applied surface must be protected from sunlight, rain, wind and frost for the first 24 hours.

To allow the material to cure fully, the substrate temperature and ambient temperature must not fall below the permitted minimum temperature.

Important

Working and reaction times of cement-based repair mortars are affected by air temperature, humidity and substrate temperature. High temperatures accelerate hydration and shorten working time; low temperatures slow hydration.

Important

The product must be stored in its original unopened packaging in a dry, cool environment (between +5°C and +30°C), protected from sunlight and frost. Shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture. Opened packaging must be consumed within 1 week.

Open flames near storage and application areas are dangerous; these areas must be ventilated.

Important

During application, appropriate work clothing, protective gloves, goggles and a mask must be worn in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations.

During storage and application, contact with skin and eyes must be avoided; in case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap; if swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.

Important

Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas. Store out of reach of children.
