Product Description
FOX THERM-ALL® SUNPRIM FT310 is a polymer dispersion-based primer for decorative finishing renders. It is used to improve adhesion strength before applying topcoat finishes to reinforced concrete and rendered surfaces. In thermal insulation systems, it enables improved surface adhesion prior to FOX THERM-ALL® MINPLAST FT377 mineral render, and allows the render surface applied over insulation boards to be hardened and its water absorption to be reduced. When applied to fair-faced concrete surfaces, it allows direct application of skim coat and levelling compound.
Advantages
- Penetrates deeply.
- Improves surface adhesion.
- Increases UV resistance.
- High performance.
- Vapour permeable.
- Can be applied to damp surfaces.
Usage Areas
- For interior and exterior applications
- For horizontal and vertical applications
- For improving surface adhesion prior to FOX THERM-ALL® MINPLAST FT377 mineral render in thermal insulation applications
- For hardening the render surface applied over insulation boards and reducing water absorption
- Applied to fair-faced concrete surfaces, enabling direct application of skim coat and levelling compound
Application Steps
- 1
Surface Preparation
The surfaces to be treated must be sound, dry, dust-free, and clean. The surface must be thoroughly cleaned of all oil, grease, rust, and paraffin residues that could impair adhesion, and must be free of loose particles.
- 2
Mixing
FOX THERM-ALL® SUNPRIM FT310 is ready to use. However, it must be thoroughly stirred before use. Water must never be added.
- 3
Application
For maximum penetration, surfaces are pre-wetted. FOX THERM-ALL® SUNPRIM FT310 is applied with a suitable roller. To check whether the surface is ready for coating, apply masking tape approximately 4 hours after application. If the product has achieved sufficient conditioning on the surface, there must be no dust on the tape surface when it is removed.

Cleaning of Application Tools
Tools and equipment used must be cleaned with water after application. Once FOX THERM-ALL® SUNPRIM FT310 has hardened, it can only be removed from the surface mechanically.
If the substrate temperature is below +5°C or above +35°C, application must not be carried out; appropriate temperatures must be awaited.
Sensitive to frost. Must not be stored or transported below 0°C.
For the material to cure completely, the substrate temperature and ambient temperature must not fall below the permitted minimum temperature.
Water must never be added.
To check whether the surface is ready for coating, apply masking tape approximately 4 hours after application; when the tape is removed, there must be no dust on the tape surface.
Once FOX THERM-ALL® SUNPRIM FT310 has hardened, it can only be removed from the surface mechanically. Tools and equipment must be cleaned with water immediately after application.
Store in original unopened packaging in a cool, dry place, protected from frost. For short-term storage, stack no more than 3 pallets high and apply a first-in, first-out dispatch system. For long-term storage, pallets must not be stacked on top of each other.
Opened packaging must be resealed tightly, stored under warehouse conditions, and used within 1 week.
Open flames near storage and application areas are dangerous. Storage and application areas must be ventilated.
During application, appropriate work clothing, protective gloves, goggles, and a mask must be worn in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes during storage and application; if contact occurs, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap; if swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas. Store out of reach of children.
The technical values above are given at +23°C and 50% relative humidity. Higher temperatures shorten the drying time; lower temperatures extend it.
