Product Description
FOX BASEMOR FC205 is a cement-based, single-component, high-strength fine repair and surface levelling mortar containing mineral aggregates, polymer-reinforced special cements and silica fume. It is mixed with water only; it has a paste consistency and is suitable for application thicknesses of 1–5 mm. It meets the R3 class requirements (≥25 N/mm² compressive strength) of TS EN 1504-3:2008 and satisfies Principles 3.1 and 3.2. It is shrinkage-free, exhibits high thixotropic properties and is resistant to freeze-thaw cycles. Fire classification is EN 13501-1 A1. It provides ≥40 N/mm² compressive strength at 28 days and ≥1.5 N/mm² adhesion strength to concrete.

- Achieving a smooth and impermeable surface on concrete surfaces prior to painting
Application Steps
- 1
Surface Preparation
Surfaces to be repaired must be sound and free from all dust and contamination. Surfaces requiring deep repair must be repaired with FOX MORTAR FC188 T repair mortar. The surface should be lightly dampened with water.
- 2
Mixing
The appropriate amount of water specified on the packaging (approximately 4.75±0.25 lt for a 25 kg bag, approximately 190±10 ml per 1 kg) is poured into a clean mixing container. FOX BASEMOR FC205 is slowly added to the water while mixing with an electric mixer at 400–600 rpm and a suitable mixing paddle for approximately 2–3 minutes until homogeneous. No lumps should remain in the material. After allowing the material to rest for 3–5 minutes, it is re-mixed for 1 minute to make it ready for application. Consistency must not be adjusted by adding extra water.
- 3
Application
The prepared mixture is applied in a single pass at a thickness of 1–5 mm using a trowel. After the mortar has drawn back, water is sprinkled on the surface and the surface is levelled with a sponge, wooden or steel float.
- 4
Tool Cleaning
Tools and equipment used must be cleaned immediately with water after application. Once FOX BASEMOR FC205 has hardened, it can only be removed from the surface mechanically.
FOX BASEMOR FC205 must be mixed with water only; consistency must not be adjusted by adding extra water.
FOX BASEMOR FC205 must be applied within 45 minutes at +23°C. This time is reduced to 20–25 minutes at +30°C.
The temperature of the substrate and the ambient environment must not fall below +5°C. The minimum temperature required for the material to complete its set must not be exceeded.
In exterior applications, the surface must be protected from sunlight, wind, rain or frost for the first 24 hours after application.
Mixing times (approximately 2–3 minutes, followed by a 3–5 minute rest, then 1 minute of re-mixing) must be strictly observed before the required consistency checks.
The working and reaction times of cement-based systems are affected by ambient and substrate temperature and relative humidity. Hydration slows at low temperatures; high temperatures accelerate hydration.
Opened packaging must be resealed and consumed within 1 week.
For short-term storage, pallets must not be stacked more than 3 high and a first-in first-out system must be used for dispatch. For long-term storage, pallets must not be stacked on top of each other.
During storage and application, the product must not come into contact with skin or eyes. In case of contact, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap; if swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
During application, appropriate work clothing, protective gloves, goggles and a mask must be worn in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations.
The product must be stored between +5°C and +30°C, away from direct sunlight, in a cool and dry environment. It must be protected from frost. Shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas. The product must be stored out of reach of children.
The technical values above are given for +23°C and 50% relative humidity conditions. Higher temperatures shorten the time; lower temperatures extend it.
