Product Description
FOX BETONAGE® BC is a ready-to-use micro-concrete coating material containing acrylic binder, mineral fillers, and polymer additives. Thanks to its fine texture and high adhesion, it can be applied to concrete, plaster, and many similar substrates. With a density of 1.75±0.05 g/cm³, the product offers ≥1.5 N/mm² bond strength according to EN 1542. Its UV-resistant structure and water impermeability (capillary water absorption w<0.1 kg/m²·h⁰·⁵) make it suitable for safe use in both interior and exterior applications. Prior to application, FOX PRIMERA® FL220 and FOX DECOPRIMER FL204 primer application is mandatory; colouring is done with FOX DOMINO COLOR WB AC. It can be applied at ambient temperatures between +5°C and +30°C; pot life is 45–60 minutes and drying time is 4–6 hours.

Application Steps
- 1
Surface Preparation
Concrete substrates to be coated must be prepared using abrasive equipment (shot blasting, milling, diamond grinding, etc.) to remove the cement laitance and achieve an open-pored surface. Weak concrete fragments must be removed from the surface, and small voids and holes must be fully opened. The resulting dust must be cleaned with an industrial vacuum cleaner.
- 2
Mixing
Before application, the material must be thoroughly mixed until a homogeneous consistency is achieved.
- 3
Surface Priming (FOX PRIMERA® FL220)
FOX PRIMERA® FL220 is applied uniformly to the surface with a brush or roller to improve the adhesion of the coating material to the surface, reduce air bubbles, and prevent the mixing liquid from being absorbed by the substrate. On surfaces with a high absorption risk, the consumption rate should be increased; ponding on the surface must not be allowed.
- 4
Decorative Primer (FOX DECOPRIMER FL204)
FOX DECOPRIMER FL204 is applied over FOX PRIMERA® FL220 with a suitable roller. Approximately 4 hours later, masking tape is applied to check whether the surface is ready for coating. When the tape is removed, there must be no dust on the tape surface.
- 5
Coating Application
The ready-to-use product is mixed for approximately 1 minute. FOX DOMINO COLOR WB AC equal to 1% of the total product weight is poured in and mixed until the colour is homogeneous. The homogeneous mixture is poured onto the surface and spread with a suitable trowel. After the material has dried, the surface is sanded with 60/80 grit sandpaper. Once sanding is complete, the surface dust is removed with a vacuum cleaner and wiped with a damp cloth.
- 6
Tool Cleaning
All tools and equipment used must be cleaned with water before the material dries.
If the ambient and surface temperature is below +5°C or above +30°C, application must not be carried out; suitable temperatures must be awaited.
Application must not be carried out in extremely hot, rainy, or very windy weather.
For exterior applications, the surface must be protected from sunlight, rain, wind, and frost for the first 24 hours.
High temperatures accelerate hydration and shorten the working time; low temperatures slow hydration and extend the working time. To allow the material to complete its cure, the substrate and ambient temperature must not fall below the permitted minimum temperature.
Opened packages must be resealed and consumed within 1 week.
The product must be stored at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, between +5°C and +30°C. Shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
Approaching storage and application areas with open flames is dangerous; storage and application areas must be ventilated.
During application, appropriate work clothing, protective gloves, goggles, and a mask must be worn in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations.
During storage and application, contact with skin and eyes must be avoided; in case of contact, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap; if swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas. Must be stored out of reach of children.
