Product Description
FOX BETONAGE® POOL POLYMER is a liquid polymer binder with a water-based copolymer structure. It has been specially formulated for use with FOX BETONAGE® POOL BC and FOX BETONAGE® POOL FC powder products. Designed for applications in continuous contact with water such as swimming pools, spas and ornamental pools, the product is UV-resistant and waterproof, and can be used both indoors and outdoors in a range of colour options. It is recommended to use 6.25 kg of polymer per 25 kg of POOL BC and 6.25 kg of polymer per 17.5 kg of POOL FC. Available in white; can be tinted to any desired colour using FOX DOMINO® COLOR WB pigment. The product is supplied in 6.25 kg bucket packaging.

Surface Preparation
The surfaces to be treated must be sound, dry, dust-free and clean. The surface must be thoroughly cleaned of all oil, grease, rust and paraffin residues that could impair adhesion, and freed from loose particles.

Mixing
FOX BETONAGE® POOL POLYMER is placed into a clean mixing container. FOX DOMINO® COLOR WB is weighed according to the desired colour, added to the polymer and mixed until a homogeneous colour is achieved. POOL BC or POOL FC powder is then added slowly while mixing with a drill mixer at 400–600 rpm for approximately 3 minutes. After allowing the material to rest for 60 seconds, it is mixed again for 1 minute to make it ready for application. Mixing ratios: 6.25 kg polymer per 25 kg POOL BC; 6.25 kg polymer per 17.5 kg (or 20 kg FINISHCOAT FC).

FOX BETONAGE® POOL BC Application
The colour pigment is first added to the prepared polymer to obtain a homogeneous mixture. FOX BETONAGE® POOL BC is then added and mixed at 600–1000 rpm for 3–4 minutes. No lumping at the bottom of the bucket is permitted. After waiting 1 minute, mix for a further 1 minute. The surface to be treated is dampened, the mixture is poured onto the surface and spread with a suitable trowel. Once the material has dried, the surface is sanded with 60-grit sandpaper, dust is removed with a vacuum cleaner and wiped with a damp cloth.

FOX BETONAGE® POOL FC Application
The colour pigment is first added to the prepared polymer to obtain a homogeneous mixture. FOX BETONAGE® POOL FC is then added and mixed at 600–1000 rpm for 3–4 minutes. No lumping at the bottom of the bucket is permitted. After waiting 1 minute, mix for a further 1 minute. The surface to be treated is dampened, the mixture is poured onto the surface and spread with a suitable trowel. Once the material has dried, the surface is sanded with 120-grit mesh sandpaper, dust is removed with a vacuum cleaner and wiped with a damp cloth.

Tool and Equipment Cleaning
After application, tools and equipment used should be cleaned with water. Once FOX BETONAGE® POOL POLYMER has hardened, it can only be removed from the surface mechanically.

Application should not be carried out if the ambient or surface temperature is below +5°C or above +30°C; suitable temperatures must be awaited.

The freshly applied product must be protected from sunlight and wind to prevent rapid drying.

Application must not be carried out in excessively hot, rainy or windy weather.

Materials to be used on the application area should be brought to the site and stored 1–2 days in advance to allow them to acclimatise to ambient conditions.

In extremely cold weather, the ambient and substrate temperature should be raised using heaters, and the materials to be used should be conditioned at +20°C / +25°C to make them ready for application.
Information
The working and reaction times of cement-based systems are affected by ambient and substrate temperature and relative humidity. At low temperatures the reaction slows down; at high temperatures the reaction accelerates.

The ambient and substrate temperature must not fall below the permitted minimum temperature for the material to complete its curing.
Important
After mixing, the material should be allowed to rest and then mixed again.
Important
Different polymer ratios and different mixing methods may cause undesirable colour variations.
Important
Opened packaging must be resealed and consumed within 1 week.
Important
The product should be stored between +5°C and +30°C, away from direct sunlight, in a cool and dry environment, protected from frost. Shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
Critical
It is dangerous to approach storage and application areas with open flames; areas must be ventilated. Work clothing, protective gloves, goggles and a mask must be worn during application. Contact with skin and eyes must be avoided; in case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap. In case of ingestion, consult a doctor immediately. Store out of reach of children.
