Product Description
FOX DOMINO® MULTI FD781 is a cement-based, self-levelling, natural concrete-look, high-strength decorative floor screed that can be applied at thicknesses of 3–10 mm and is ready for use as a finish coat. Produced with mineral fillers and a polymer-reinforced special cement composition, it is mixed with water only. Its rapid setting characteristic speeds up the application process; it can also be applied by pump. It achieves a compressive strength of ≥25 N/mm² and a flexural strength of ≥7.6 N/mm² at 28 days. Suitable for underfloor heating systems and rolling chair loads, it serves a wide range of applications including shops, offices, hotels, restaurants, residential buildings and shopping centres.

Surface Preparation
Concrete substrates to be coated must be prepared using abrasive equipment (shot blasting, milling, diamond grinding, etc.) to remove the cement laitance and obtain an open-porous surface. Weak concrete fragments must be removed, and small voids and holes must be fully opened. The resulting dust must be cleaned with an industrial vacuum. The substrate must be clean, dry and free from foreign matter such as oil, grease, coatings and surface curing compounds. Moisture content must be a maximum of 4%, surface compressive strength at least 25 N/mm², tensile strength at least 1.5 N/mm², substrate temperature a minimum of +10°C, and the substrate must be at least +3°C above the dew point.

Priming
The substrate must be primed to improve the adhesion of the screed to the substrate, reduce air bubbles and prevent the mixing water from being absorbed by the substrate. Depending on the surface characteristics, the appropriate primer from the FOX EPOTHANE® series should be applied; while the primer is still wet, silica sand 40–45 Afs (0.2–0.5 mm) should be broadcast over it and the primer allowed to dry for a minimum of 12 hours (24 hours depending on weather conditions). After scraping off any excess remaining on the surface, loose sand must be removed with an industrial vacuum before proceeding with the FOX PRIMERA FL220 / FOX UNIPRIMER FL555 primer application.

Mixing
Pour the amount of water specified on the packaging into a clean mixing container (approximately 5.00±0.25 lt of water per 25 kg / 1 bag; approximately 200±10 ml of water per 1 kg). Slowly add FOX DOMINO® MULTI FD781 into the water and mix with an electric mixer and a suitable mixing paddle at 600–1000 rpm for 3–4 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Do not allow lumps to form at the bottom of the bucket. Wait approximately 1 minute, then mix for a further 1 minute before use.

Coating Application
FOX DOMINO® MULTI FD781 is poured onto the surface and applied at the desired thickness (3–10 mm) using a notched trowel or a suitable float. While still wet, patterns can be created using a suitable trowel or hand tool according to the desired decoration. The product can also be applied by pump.

Tool and Equipment Cleaning
Tools and equipment used after application must be cleaned with water. Once FOX DOMINO® MULTI FD781 has hardened, it can only be removed from the surface mechanically.

Application should not be carried out if the ambient and surface temperature is below +10°C or above +25°C; suitable temperatures must be awaited.

The freshly applied product must be protected from sunlight and wind to prevent rapid drying.

Application must not be carried out in excessively hot, rainy or windy weather.

Materials to be used on the application area should be brought to the site and stored 1–2 days in advance so that they can acclimatise to ambient conditions.

In applications carried out in extremely cold weather, the ambient and substrate temperature should be raised using heaters, and the materials to be used should be conditioned at +20°C – +25°C to make them ready for application.
Information
The working and reaction times of cement-based systems are affected by the ambient and substrate temperature and the relative humidity of the air. Reaction slows at low temperatures; high temperatures accelerate the reaction.

The ambient and substrate temperature must not fall below the permitted minimum temperature for the material to complete its curing.

After mixing, the material should be allowed to rest and then mixed again.

Opened packages must be resealed and consumed within 1 week.
Important
Store in the original unopened packaging in a cool, dry place, protected from frost. For short-term storage, stack no more than 3 pallets high. For long-term storage, pallets must not be stacked on top of one another.

During application, appropriate work clothing, protective gloves, goggles and a mask must be worn in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations. Avoid contact with skin and eyes; in case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.

It is dangerous to approach storage and application areas with open flames; areas must be ventilated. Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas. Store out of reach of children.
