Product Description

FOX DOMINO® MULTI FD785 is a decorative thin finish plaster manufactured from special cement, flexible polymer additives, and fillers. It has been developed for use on brick, block wall, concrete, fair-faced concrete, aerated concrete, gypsum plaster, gypsum concrete, and ceiling surfaces in interior and exterior applications. Thanks to its mineral filler and polymer-reinforced special cement structure, it offers a density of 1.65–1.70 kg/lt and an application thickness between 1 mm and 10 mm. It can be applied at substrate temperatures between +5°C and +30°C; full curing is completed in 28 days at +20°C. With its tintable structure available in Grey, White, and Architectural Grey colour options, it allows a decorative finish to be achieved.

Advantages

  • Tintable.
  • Provides a decorative finish.
  • Impact-resistant; creates solid, seamless surfaces.
  • Provides excellent adhesion.
  • Easy to apply.

Usage Areas

  • On brick walls in interior and exterior spaces
  • On block walls
  • On concrete surfaces
  • On fair-faced concrete surfaces
  • On aerated concrete walls
  • On gypsum plaster surfaces
  • On gypsum concrete surfaces
  • On ceiling surfaces

Application Steps

  1. 1

    Surface Preparation

Surfaces to be plastered must be free of mould release agents, loose particles, dust, and any substances that would adversely affect adhesion. Cracks and holes on the surface must be repaired with suitable INNO-CRETE series repair mortars. In hot weather conditions, surfaces must be moistened with water. On aerated concrete walls, a scratch coat must be applied with FOX MORTAR FC188 T repair mortar 72 hours before the plaster application. On smooth fair-faced concrete surfaces, concrete ceilings, and walls, FOX CONTACT PRIMER FL101 primer must be applied with a coral roller prior to application, and plastering may commence 24 hours later.

  2. 2

    Mixing

For large areas, colour pigments are first added to the mixing water. The appropriate amount of water indicated on the packaging is poured into a clean mixing container. FOX DOMINO® MULTI FD785 is slowly added to the water while mixing with an electric mixer at 400–600 rpm for approximately 3–4 minutes until homogeneous. There must be no lumps in the material. The material is left to rest for 30 seconds and then mixed again for 1 minute to make it ready for application. (For 7 kg: ~1.90±0.07 lt water; for 1 kg: ~270±10 ml water)

  3. 3

    Application

The application thickness per coat should be between 1 mm and 3 mm. If the thickness exceeds 3 mm, the second coat is applied at a maximum thickness of 3 mm after the first coat has set. A 2-coat application must be carried out to prevent the risk of cracking. The prepared mortar is applied with a plastering trowel or float. Subsequent applications can be carried out at room temperature after half an hour. After the surface is moistened with a damp sponge, the finishing process must be completed with a float. When the surface has dried after at least 5 hours, it is sanded with an eccentric sanding machine using 120-grit sandpaper. After sanding, FOX DOMINO® AC SEALER FD791 is applied to the surface for polishing.

  4. 4

    Cleaning of Tools

Tools and equipment used after application must be cleaned with water. Once FOX DOMINO® MULTI FD785 has hardened, it can only be removed from the surface mechanically.

Critical

It is recommended that plaster application be carried out at temperatures between +5°C and +35°C.

Important

In windy conditions, the surface must be protected against rapid drying.

Critical

For the strength of the product, the surface must be wetted at regular intervals within 7 days after application.

Critical

No lime, cement, gypsum, or similar materials should be added to the product.

Important

In hot weather applications, 2-coat application is recommended to prevent the risk of cracking caused by rapid drying.

Important

When stored correctly at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, between +5°C and +30°C, the shelf life is 6 months from the date of manufacture. Opened packages must be resealed and consumed within 1 week.

Important

Store in its original unopened packaging in a cool, dry environment, protected from frost. For short-term storage, stack no more than 3 pallets high; for long-term storage, pallets must not be stacked on top of each other.

Critical

It is dangerous to approach storage and application areas with open flame; areas must be ventilated.

Critical

Work clothing, protective gloves, goggles, and a mask must be worn during application. Avoid contact with skin and eyes; in case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap. In case of ingestion, consult a doctor immediately.

Important

Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas. Store out of reach of children.

Information

The above technical values are given for +23°C and 50% relative humidity conditions. Higher temperatures shorten the time, lower temperatures extend it.
