Product Description
FOX ALPHA-CİLA FF860 is an acrylic-based, solvent-based, transparent protective coating material developed for concrete surfaces. It penetrates into any surface treated with a natural-look coloured acid stain, precast protection or surface hardener, acting as a curing agent. It is a topcoat that provides long-term protection, dust resistance, surface resistance and an aesthetic appearance. The product, with a density of 0.97 kg/lt, can be applied by brush, roller or a solvent-resistant spray pump; the waiting time between coats is 2–3 hours depending on ambient temperature, and a minimum of 2 coats is recommended.
Key Benefits
- Extends the service life of concrete surfaces, reducing maintenance costs.
- A dust-resistant formulation ensures clean and hygienic surfaces.
- Resistance to oil and fuel residues makes it safe for use in industrial areas.
- UV resistance and resistance to freeze-thaw cycles provide long-lasting protection on exterior facades.
- Easy application by brush, roller or spray machine.
- Water-repellent properties and water vapour permeability maintain surface health.
Advantages
- Easy to apply and use.
- Resistant to oil and fuel residues.
- Provides protection against all weather conditions and fungal growth on surfaces.
- Prevents dusting and provides a harder surface.
- Extremely easy to clean, resulting in a smooth surface.
- Provides resistance to abrasion.
- Penetrates deeply to impart a vibrant appearance.
- Resistant to freeze-thaw cycles and UV.
- Can be applied by brush, roller or spray machine.
- Water vapour permeable when applied on exterior facades.
- Water-repellent.
Usage Areas
- Protection of concrete and other cementitious surfaces in buildings and infrastructure
- Floors and walls where a glossy appearance is desired
- To extend the service life of concrete
- Surfaces treated with a surface hardener
- Screed concretes
Application Steps
- 1
Surface Preparation
The concrete substrate to be coated must be prepared using abrasive equipment (shot blasting, milling, diamond grinding, etc.) to remove the cement laitance and achieve an open-pored surface. Weak concrete fragments must be removed and small voids and holes must be fully opened. The resulting dust must be removed with an industrial vacuum. INNO-CRETE repair mortars must be used for substrate repairs and filling of voids.
- 2
Checking Application Conditions
Verify that the surface temperature, ambient temperature and material temperature are within the range of minimum +10°C and maximum +30°C. Surface moisture content must be below 4%; there must be no rising damp according to the ASTM polyethylene sheet test. Relative air humidity must be a maximum of 80%. Ensure that the substrate temperature is at least +3°C above the dew point.
- 3
Mixing
FOX ALPHA-CİLA FF860 is a single-component product and is ready to use. No mixing is required. Water must never be added.
- 4
Application
FOX ALPHA-CİLA FF860 is applied in coats by brush, roller or a solvent-resistant spray pump. The waiting time between coats is 2–3 hours depending on ambient temperature. A minimum of 2 coats must be applied; the number of coats may be increased depending on surface absorbency. The spray method is recommended to achieve a uniform finish.

Tool Cleaning
All tools and equipment used after application must be cleaned with solvent.
Always ensure good ventilation during application; safety goggles, a mask and gloves must be worn.
The material contains solvent and is therefore flammable. Approaching open flames in storage and application areas is dangerous; smoking is prohibited and precautions must be taken against electrical short circuits.
Water must never be added to FOX ALPHA-CİLA FF860.
Surface temperature, ambient temperature and material temperature must be a minimum of +10°C and a maximum of +30°C.
Before applying to freshly cast concrete, the concrete must have completed at least 28 days of curing.
Surface moisture content must be below 4%; there must be no rising damp according to ASTM (polyethylene sheet test).
Relative air humidity must be a maximum of 80%. Dew formation and condensation must be monitored; the substrate temperature must be at least +3°C above the dew point.
Opened containers must be resealed and consumed within 1 week.
Store in original unopened packaging in a cool, dry place, protected from frost. For short-term storage, stack no more than 3 pallets high; for long-term storage, pallets must not be stacked on top of each other.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes during storage and application. In case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap; if swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
Store out of reach of children. Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas.
Shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture under appropriate storage conditions.
