FOX SSL® 75 GYP is a calcium sulphate-based, fibre-reinforced, high-performance self-levelling floor screed that can be applied in a single pass at thicknesses of 1.5–50 mm. It meets the CA-C35-F10 class under TS EN 13813:2004 standard and is walkable within 2–3 hours after application.

Product Description
FOX SSL® 75 GYP is a calcium sulphate-based, fibre-reinforced, high-performance floor levelling screed. It can be applied in a wide thickness range from 1.5 mm to 50 mm; thanks to its self-levelling property, a smooth and perfectly finished surface texture is achieved. After application, it provides a walkable surface in approximately 2–3 hours and is sandable. The product meets the CA-C35-F10 class under TS EN 13813:2004 standard, achieving ≥35 N/mm² compressive strength and ≥10 N/mm² flexural strength. It does not shrink, does not dust, and is easily prepared by mixing with water only. It can also be applied by pump.

Application Steps

Surface Preparation
Concrete substrates to be treated must be prepared using abrasive equipment (shot blasting, milling, diamond grinding, etc.) to remove the cement laitance and achieve an open-pored surface. Weak concrete particles must be removed from the surface, and small voids and holes must be fully opened. The resulting dust must be cleaned with an industrial vacuum. The substrate must be sound, dry, and free from foreign matter such as oil, grease, coatings, and surface curing compounds. Compressive strength must be at least 25 N/mm², tensile strength at least 1.5 N/mm², moisture content a maximum of 4%, and substrate temperature a minimum of +5°C.

Priming
The substrate must be primed to increase the adhesion of FOX SSL® 75 GYP to the surface, reduce air bubbles, and prevent the mixing liquid from being absorbed by the substrate. FOX PRIMERA® FL220 or FOX UNIPRIMER FL555 primer, selected according to requirements, is mixed with water at a 1:1 ratio and applied with a brush or roller. A second coat is applied on highly absorbent surfaces. Application can begin once the primer has dried. For the choice of primer on surfaces other than cement-based substrates, the technical department should be consulted.

Mixing
Pour the amount of water specified on the packaging (approximately 4.00 ± 0.20 lt for a 20 kg bag) into a clean mixing container. Slowly add FOX SSL® 75 GYP to the water and mix with an electric mixer and a suitable mixing paddle for 2–3 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Lumps at the bottom of the bucket must not be allowed to form and must be broken up. Allow the product to rest for approximately 3 minutes, then mix for a further 1 minute to make it ready for use.

Application (Manual Application)
FOX SSL® 75 GYP is poured onto the surface and applied at the desired thickness using a notched trowel or a suitable float. When the coating reaches the appropriate consistency, a spiked roller must be applied to release air. If the spiked roller application is delayed, spiked roller marks may remain on the surface. It can be applied in a single pass up to 30 mm; for thicknesses above 30 mm, sand must be added according to the sand mixing ratio table.

Application by Pump
FOX SSL® 75 GYP can be applied using screw, piston, and continuous mixing pumps that pump approximately 20–40 litres of mortar per minute. Machines and hoses must be cleaned if left idle for more than 15 minutes. The pumped material is applied at the desired thickness using a notched trowel or a suitable float; once it reaches the appropriate consistency, air must be released with a spiked roller.

Cleaning of Application Tools
Tools and equipment used after application must be cleaned with water. Once FOX SSL® 75 GYP has hardened, it can only be removed from the surface mechanically.
Application should not be carried out if the ambient and surface temperature is below +5°C or above +30°C; appropriate temperatures must be awaited.
Application should not be carried out in excessively hot, rainy, or windy weather conditions.
After applying FOX SSL® 75 GYP, a minimum of 3 days must be waited before applying any further coating on top.
Materials to be used on the application area should be brought to the site and stored 1–2 days in advance to allow them to acclimatise to the ambient conditions.
In applications carried out in extremely cold weather, the ambient and substrate temperature should be raised using heaters, and the materials to be used should be conditioned at +20°C / +25°C to make them ready for application.
In order for the material to complete its curing, the ambient and substrate temperature must not fall below the permitted minimum temperature. After mixing, the material should be allowed to rest and then mixed again.
Wooden substrates must have a moisture content appropriate to the climatic conditions of the room and must be kept continuously dry to prevent moisture-related damage.
Opened packages must be resealed and consumed within 1 week.
Store in original unopened packaging in a cool, dry place, protected from frost. For short-term storage, stack no more than 2 pallets high. For long-term storage, pallets must not be stacked on top of each other.
During application, appropriate work clothing, protective gloves, goggles, and a mask complying with occupational health and safety regulations must be worn. Avoid contact with skin and eyes; in case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
Reaction and working times are affected by ambient temperature and relative humidity. At low temperatures the reaction slows down; at high temperatures it accelerates. The stated times will vary accordingly.
