Product Description
FOX ALPHA-STAIN FF910 is an inorganic acid solution used on decorative cement-based coatings, old or new concrete and exposed concrete floor slabs, and cement-based precast (Precast) facade claddings. It penetrates into the surface by chemically reacting with the alkaline chemicals within the concrete; in this way the coating becomes an integral part of the material rather than forming a film on the surface. The result is a colour that does not peel, does not fade, and remains vibrant. The product is available in Terracotta, Amber, Turquoise, Aquamarine, Ebony and Brown colour options and can be easily applied with a brush, roller or acid-resistant spray pump. After application, tools and equipment must be cleaned with FOX STAIN NEUTRALIZER FF911.
Advantages
- Easy to apply and use.
- Penetrates deeply to provide a vibrant appearance.
- Can be applied with a brush, roller or spray machine.
Usage Areas
- On all decorative cement-based coatings
- On all types of old or new concrete and exposed concrete floor slabs
- On cement-based Precast facade claddings
Application Steps
- 1
Surface Preparation
The concrete substrates to be coated must be prepared using abrasive equipment such as shot blasting, milling or diamond grinding to remove the cement laitance and achieve an open-pored surface. Weak concrete fragments must be removed and small voids and holes must be fully opened. The resulting dust must be cleaned with an industrial vacuum; INNO-CRETE repair mortars must be used for repair, void filling and surface levelling operations.
- 2
Checking Application Conditions
Freshly cast concrete must have completed a minimum curing period of 28 days. The surface moisture content must be below 4% and the relative air humidity must be a maximum of 80%. There must be no rising moisture according to ASTM (polyethylene sheet test). The substrate temperature must be at least +3°C above the dew point. The temperature of all surfaces to be coated, the ambient temperature and the material temperature must be between +5°C and +30°C.
- 3
Mixing
FOX ALPHA-STAIN FF910 must be mixed with an electric mixer at 400–600 rpm until a homogeneous consistency is achieved.
- 4
Application
FOX ALPHA-STAIN FF910 is applied in coats using a brush, roller or acid-resistant spray pump. The waiting time between coats is 12–24 hours depending on ambient temperature. Application continues until the desired colour intensity is achieved.

Tool and Equipment Cleaning
All tools and equipment used must be cleaned with FOX STAIN NEUTRALIZER FF911 after application.
The substrate temperature during application must be a minimum of +5°C and a maximum of +30°C. Application must not be carried out outside these limits.
When applying to freshly cast concrete, the concrete must have completed a minimum curing period of 28 days.
The surface moisture content must be below 4%. There must be no rising moisture according to ASTM (polyethylene sheet test).
The substrate temperature must be at least +3°C above the dew point. Dew formation and condensation will damage the coating.
The inter-coat application time must be 12–24 hours depending on ambient temperature; the next coat must not be applied before this time has elapsed.
Safety glasses, a mask and gloves must always be worn during application; adequate ventilation must be ensured.
The product must not come into contact with skin or eyes. In case of contact, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap; if swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
It is dangerous to approach storage and application areas with open flames; these areas must always be ventilated.
Relative air humidity must be a maximum of 80%.
Opened containers must be resealed and consumed within 1 week.
The product must be stored in its original, sealed container in a cool and dry environment, protected from frost. Pallets must not be stacked on top of one another during long-term storage.
All application tools and equipment must be cleaned with FOX STAIN NEUTRALIZER FF911 immediately after application.
The product must be kept out of reach of children. Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas.
The values in the technical specifications are given for +23°C and 50% relative humidity conditions. Higher temperatures shorten the times; lower temperatures extend them.
The shelf life is 6 months from the date of manufacture under appropriate storage conditions.
