Product Description
FOX HARDTOP® LI PREMIUM FF845 is a lithium silicate-based, liquid concrete surface hardener that provides dust-proofing on new and existing concrete. Its single-component formulation makes it ready to use without any mixing. With its high lithium content and 100% active ingredient ratio, it provides fast and deep penetration into the concrete surface. It increases abrasion resistance by 20–50% while also preventing ASR (alkali-silica reaction) reactions that cause surface cracking. The product is resistant to stains and water, and can be safely used in high-traffic areas such as shopping centres, car parks, warehouses, factories and hospitals. It is an environmentally friendly product suitable for LEED and BREEAM standards.

Application Steps
- 1
Surface Preparation
Substrates to be applied must be sound, clean, dry and free from all foreign matter such as dirt, oil, grease, coatings and surface curing compounds. Remove all dirt, residue and deposits from the existing concrete surface; allow the cleaned surfaces to dry.
- 2
Mechanical Preparation
Prepare the surface using grinding and polishing machines with diamond discs or cleaning and maintenance pads. Prior to FOX HARDTOP® LI PREMIUM FF845 application, the grinding/honing/polishing level should be in the range of 100–400 grit.
- 3
Application
Using a low-pressure sprayer, spread the product with a pre-dampened soft white polishing pad (mop). Ensure that the application covers the entire surface without gaps. Re-apply to any areas that dry before 10 minutes.
- 4
Drying and Polishing
Allow the applied surfaces to dry completely. The surface is ready for use once dry; however, completion of the reaction may take up to two weeks depending on temperature and weather conditions. Continue polishing with 800/3000 grit resin pads on the existing concrete surface according to the desired level of gloss.
- 5
Tool Cleaning
After application, tools and equipment used must be cleaned with solvent or polyurethane thinner. Once FOX HARDTOP® LI PREMIUM FF845 has hardened, it can only be removed from the surface by mechanical means.
The temperature of the surface to be applied, the material and the ambient temperature must be between +5°C and +35°C.
After application, the temperature must remain above +5°C for at least 4 hours.
After completion of application, the coating must be protected from direct water contact for at least 72 hours. If water contact occurs, the coating must be completely removed and reapplied.
Protect from contact with metal, glass, wood, paint or brick. If these surfaces are accidentally exposed to the product, they must be washed immediately with clean water.
Substrates to be applied must be sound, clean, dry and free from all foreign matter such as dirt, oil, grease, coatings and surface curing compounds.
In hot conditions, it may be necessary to spray water onto the hot concrete to cool the surface prior to application.
Materials to be used should be brought to the application site 1–2 days in advance and allowed to acclimatise to ambient conditions.
Rain, dust, wind, animals and insects must be prevented from entering the building while the coating is still fresh.
Store in the original unopened packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, protected from frost, between +5°C and +35°C. Shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
It is dangerous to approach storage and application areas with open flames; areas must be ventilated.
Work clothing, protective gloves, goggles and a mask must be worn during application. Avoid contact with skin and eyes; in case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
Consumption figures are given for ideal conditions assuming an ambient and surface temperature of 20°C. It should be noted that consumption will increase on damaged surfaces and in cold weather conditions.
