Product Description

FOX MARINER ADHESIVE FF323 is a polyurethane-based, single-component, solvent-free adhesive. It offers D4 class high water resistance according to DIN EN 204 and heat resistance up to 120°C. It has been developed for bonding all types of parquet, wood floor coverings, ceramic, granite, marble, rubber and glass to concrete substrates. The product cures by moisture and, once fully cured, exhibits high resistance to moisture and outdoor conditions. It is also suitable for use in underfloor heating applications. The solid content is 100% and the working time at +23°C and 50% relative humidity is 45–60 minutes.

Advantages

  • Can be used indoors and outdoors.
  • Provides high bonding strength.
  • Has high water resistance.
  • Has heat resistance up to 120°C.
  • Has very good homogeneous spreading properties.
  • Does not shrink even when applied in thick layers.
  • Solvent-free.
  • Provides flexible bonding.
  • Resistant to moisture and outdoor conditions after full curing.
  • Suitable for all types of parquet.

Usage Areas

  • Indoors and outdoors
  • On concrete substrates
  • For bonding all types of parquet and wood floor coverings to the surface
  • For bonding concrete, granite, ceramic, marble, rubber, glass and similar materials

Application Steps

  1. 1

    Surface Preparation

The concrete substrates to be treated must be mechanically abraded using shot blasting, milling or diamond grinding equipment to remove laitance and open the pores. Weak concrete sections must be removed, small voids and holes must be opened up, and the resulting dust must be cleaned with an industrial vacuum.

  2. 2

    Surface Quality Checks

The compressive strength of the substrate must be at least 25 N/mm², tensile strength at least 1.5 N/mm², moisture content a maximum of 4%, and floor temperature a minimum of +8°C. The floor must be at least +3°C above the dew point; the surface must be clean, dry and free from all dirt, oil, grease, coatings and surface curing compounds.

  3. 3

    Ensuring Application Conditions

Surface, ambient and material temperatures must be within the range of minimum +10°C and maximum +30°C. Relative air humidity must be a maximum of 80% and floor moisture a maximum of 4%. Rising moisture must be checked using the ASTM polyethylene sheet test.

  4. 4

    Mixing

The product is single-component; no mixing is required.

  5. 5

    Application

FOX MARINER ADHESIVE FF323 is poured onto the surface and spread using a suitable notched trowel (A2 trowel). The floor covering can be bonded to the substrate after 10–15 minutes. The covering joint weld can only be carried out 24 hours after application. In underfloor heating systems, the heating system must be operated 10 days before installation and switched off during installation; the system can be restarted 72 hours after installation.

  6. 6

    Tool Cleaning

Tools and equipment must be cleaned with solvent while the product is still wet. Once the product has cured, it can only be removed from surfaces by mechanical means.

Critical

The surface moisture content of the substrate must be below 4%.

Critical

There must be no rising moisture according to ASTM (polyethylene sheet test).

Critical

Relative air humidity must be a maximum of 80%.

Critical

Surface temperature, ambient temperature and material temperature must be within the range of minimum +10°C and maximum +30°C.

Critical

The floor temperature must be at least +3°C above the dew point. Dew formation and condensation will damage the coating.

Critical

The covering joint weld can only be carried out 24 hours after application.

Critical

In underfloor heating systems, the heating system must be operated 10 days before installation, switched off during installation, and restarted 72 hours after installation.

Information

The product is single-component; no mixing is required.

Important

After application, tools and equipment must be cleaned with solvent while the product is still wet. Once cured, it can only be removed by mechanical means.

Important

Shelf life: 6 months from the date of manufacture when stored in original packaging between +5°C and +30°C, away from direct sunlight.

Important

Must be stored in its original unopened packaging in a cool, dry place, protected from frost. For short-term storage, a maximum of 2 pallets may be stacked on top of each other.

Critical

It is dangerous to approach storage and application areas with open flames; areas must be ventilated.

Critical

Work clothing, protective gloves, goggles and a mask must be worn during application. Avoid contact with skin and eyes; in case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.

Important

Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas. Must be stored out of reach of children.

Information

The values in the technical specifications are given for conditions of +23°C and 50% relative humidity. Higher temperatures shorten the working time; lower temperatures extend it.
