Product Description
FOX HISTOCRETE STRUCTURE is a thixotropic structural repair mortar specially developed for historic structures, containing pozzolanic lime and specially graded natural aggregate, cement-free, with high strength. Compressive strength is 15-20 N/mm², modulus of elasticity is 16,000 N/mm², and mix density ranges from 2.07–2.10 kg/litre. Thanks to its low capillary water absorption (0.2 Kg.m⁻².min⁻⁰·⁵) and high water vapour permeability (μ<35), it allows historic structures to breathe. Water-soluble salt content is limited, minimising the risk of efflorescence. By adding 30–35% clean washed aggregate by weight to the fresh mortar, it can also be used for thick applications similar to screeds and concrete. A powder consumption of 17.0 kg/m² is anticipated for a 1 cm thick plaster application.

Surface Preparation
Surfaces to be repaired and plastered must be sound, dust-free, and clean. All oil, grease, rust, and similar substances that would weaken adhesion must be thoroughly removed. The wall surface to be treated should be pre-wetted to improve the mortar's bond and setting time. If there is water seepage on the surface, it should be sealed with a suitable plug and the water drained. There must be no free water that would prevent adhesion.

Mixing
Use 0.24–0.265 litres of water per 1 kg of FOX HISTOCRETE STRUCTURE powder. Pour the measured water into a clean mixing bucket, then slowly add the powder and mix with a mixer at 400–600 rpm for 3–4 minutes until a homogeneous, lump-free mixture is obtained. Allow to rest for approximately 4 minutes, then mix for a further 30 seconds before use. Do not mix by hand.

Application
Apply the prepared mortar with a trowel at a thickness of 1–5 cm. Allow the mortar to absorb water; then sprinkle water with a plastering brush and finish the surface as desired using a steel or wooden float. For multi-coat applications, each coat must be applied at a maximum thickness of 5 cm after the previous coat has hardened, and the previous coat must be dampened before applying the new coat. By adding 30–35% by weight of clean washed aggregate with a grain size of 5–20 mm to the fresh mortar, a mortar suitable for thick applications similar to screeds and concrete can be prepared; in this case, the water quantity may be increased by 10–15%.

Curing and Protection
Large surfaces exposed to the atmosphere, especially in hot, dry, and windy conditions, must be protected against rapid evaporation with wet sacking or water for 24–48 hours after application. For exterior surface applications, protect from sun, wind, rain, and frost for the first 24–48 hours.

Tool Cleaning
After application, tools and equipment used should be cleaned with water. Once FOX HISTOCRETE STRUCTURE has hardened, it can only be removed from surfaces by mechanical means.

During application, ambient and surface temperature must not fall below +5°C or exceed +40°C.

For exterior surface applications, the surface must be protected from sun, wind, rain, and frost for the first 24–48 hours after application.

Store in original unopened packaging, in a cool and dry environment, away from direct sunlight, protected from frost. For short-term storage, stack no more than 3 pallets high. For long-term storage, pallets must not be stacked on top of each other.

During application, appropriate work clothing, protective gloves, goggles, and a mask must be worn in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations.

During storage and application, avoid contact with skin and eyes; if contact occurs, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap; if swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.

It is dangerous to approach storage and application areas with open flames. Storage and application areas must be ventilated.

The technical values above are given for +23°C and 50% relative humidity conditions. Higher temperatures shorten the time; lower temperatures extend it.
