Procrete Floor Coating Systems • RAL 7035 Light Grey • 8240

Procrete is an industrial floor coating system made of a cement and polyurethane combination, developed for wet production environments. It withstands steam cleaning and sudden temperature changes and can be applied to damp concrete. The choice of thickness and surface type determines the mechanical strength and the level of slip resistance.

Application Photos

Application Steps

  1. 1

    Surface Preparation

The floor is opened up by milling or shot blasting; dust, oil and loose particles are completely removed.

  2. 2

    Primer

A primer suited to the surface moisture is selected; quartz sand is broadcast onto the fresh primer.

  3. 3

    Intermediate Layers

Depending on the type of system, waterproofing and/or a wearing layer is applied.

  4. 4

    Top Coat

The top coat is applied in the selected colour and left to cure in a dust-free environment.

Which surfaces can the system be applied to?

It is applied to sound, load-bearing floors with sufficient surface tensile strength. The surface moisture must not exceed 4%.

When can it be put into use after application?

It can be opened to light use 24 hours after the top coat application and to full load after 7 days.

Can it be applied over an existing coating?

If the adhesion and strength of the existing coating are sufficient, it can be applied after surface preparation.

Critical

The surface moisture must not exceed 4%. At high moisture levels the primer adhesion drops and blistering occurs.

Important

Application must not be carried out without observing the waiting times between coats.

Information

Slight shade variations may occur between different production batches; using a single batch in the same area is recommended.
