Product Description
FOX BETON RP30 is a cement-based, factory-mixed ready dry concrete/screed mortar containing polymer additives and fibre reinforcement, with C30 concrete strength. It offers a compressive strength of ≥30 N/mm² and a flexural strength of ≥6 N/mm² in accordance with EN 13813. With an application thickness ranging from 10 cm to 40 cm, the product can be safely applied indoors and outdoors for correcting surface irregularities, eliminating level differences, floor laying, door and window lintels, and beams and lintels. Thanks to its ready-mix structure, material waste is kept to a minimum, ensuring ease of application and homogeneous strength.

Surface Preparation
The substrate must be clean, dry, dust-free and sound; it must not be frozen or show signs of salt/lime efflorescence. If cement, plaster, gypsum or similar materials are present on the surface, the surface must be cleaned. Weak concrete fragments must be removed and small voids and holes must be fully opened up. The resulting dust must be removed with an industrial vacuum. For applications on concrete and existing screeds, the surface must be primed with a primer prepared with FOX BINDER FM125.

Priming
To improve adhesion, the surface should be primed using the wet-on-wet application method. The primer mix is prepared by combining 1 part cement, 1 part FOX BINDER FM125 and 2 parts water. The mixture, brought to a brush-applicable consistency, is spread homogeneously at a consumption rate of 0.35 kg/m² onto the surface that has been cleaned and dampened 12 hours in advance. FOX BETON RP30 must be applied before the primer dries.

Mixing
For mortar consistency: approximately 105–115 ml of water per 1 kg of FOX BETON RP30 should be used (approximately 2.625–2.875 litres per 25 kg bag). For dry screed consistency: approximately 95–105 ml of water per 1 kg should be used (approximately 2.375–2.625 litres per 25 kg bag). The product should be mixed in a bucket with a concrete mixer or hand mixer for 4–5 minutes until a homogeneous consistency is achieved.

Application
The mixed mortar is spread and levelled on the surface using a trowel or the necessary hand tools. Premature drying of the mortar must be prevented; it should be allowed to cure under natural conditions. Forced drying by draught or external factors leads to cracking and insufficient strength. Depending on weather conditions, the product can be finished approximately 1.5–2 hours after application with the aid of a float. If external conditions are very harsh for 1 week after application, the surface must be covered or kept moist.

Application should not be carried out if the ambient and surface temperature is below +5°C or above +35°C; suitable temperatures must be awaited.

The freshly applied product must be protected from sunlight and wind to prevent rapid drying.

Exceeding the mixing water quantities specified in the technical document will result in a loss of strength in the product.

In applications carried out in extremely cold weather, the ambient and substrate temperature should be raised using heaters; materials to be used should be conditioned at +20°C – +25°C and made ready for application.

If external conditions are very harsh for 1 week from the date of application, the surface must be covered or kept moist.

For the material to complete its curing, the ambient and substrate temperature must not fall below the permitted minimum temperature.

Materials to be brought to the application area should be stored 1–2 days in advance and allowed to acclimatise to ambient conditions.

Store in its original unopened packaging, in a cool and dry environment, away from direct sunlight and protected from frost. Shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.

During application, appropriate work clothing, protective gloves, goggles and a mask must be worn in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations. Avoid contact with skin and eyes; in case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
Information
The working and reaction times of cement-based systems are affected by ambient and substrate temperature and relative humidity. Reactions slow down at low temperatures and accelerate at high temperatures.
